25 Jun It’s Time for the 4th Annual Green Tie Event
The Texas League of Conservation Voters (TLCV) is a statewide, nonpartisan environmental organization that works to preserve and enhance the quality of life of Texans by making conservation and sustainability a top priority with Texas elected officials, candidates, and voters. Advocating for policies which build the green jobs industry in Texas is a core mission of TLCV, and we hope you will support this work by joining us at our 4th Annual Green Tie Benefit.
The benefit will be on Wednesday, July 2nd, 5:30 to 7:30 PM, at Malverde in downtown Austin. 400 West 2nd Street, 2nd Floor (above La Condesa).
The Texas League of Conservation Voters works to support the green jobs industry through our lobbying, advocacy, and common agenda work. As the non-partisan political voice of the conservation community, we occupy a key role in Texas, encouraging smart, effective leadership that pushes policies which protect of our air, water, and other critical resources. We view building relationships with companies which create green jobs and are good stewards of the environment as key to the success of our work.
At the Green Tie event will be representatives from a wide field of companies and individuals working in the green job sector, including clean energy, recycling and waste prevention, alternate fuel vehicles, environmental attorneys, green media and consulting, and other fields. We will also be joined by Travis County Judge Candidate Sarah Eckhardt. In her capacity asCounty Commissioner, Eckhardt supported tax rebates for solar farms, advocated for expansion of the County’s use of wind-generated power, and successfully sued the Koch brothers for interfering with a land sale to a recycling company.
