ImagineSolar Instructors Awarded National ISPQ Accreditation

Congratulations go out to ImagineSolar instructors, Catherine (Cathy) Redson  and James (Jim) McElhanon who were awarded Affiliated Instructor Certification by the Institute for Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ) a division of the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) on June 30th.  Redson and McElhanon are 2 of only 3 solar instructors in the state of Texas to have been awarded ISPQ instructor certification.  Austin based ImagineSolar is a national solar training organization and an ISPQ Accredited Continuing Education Provider.

As the solar industry grows the significance of a well-trained solar workforce is vital and in this international economy training that meets international standards is important to students as well as businesses.

Announcing the awardees, IREC noted that, “The ISPQ accreditation and certification program uses an international framework to assess content, quality, and resources across a broad range of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and weatherization training programs. This process leads to defined workplace knowledge and skills, and ensures the legitimacy of what is being taught and by whom."

Programs offered by ImagineSolar are catalyzing the rapid growth of the renewable energy industries in regions across the country through advocacy, advisory services for solar projects, and workforce training programs.   ImagineSolar offers online, on-site and hands-on training.
