Help Rebuild Bastrop

We are writing today to ask for your help with rebuilding Bastrop.

As you may know, our Texas Environmental Corps has been working determinedly in Bastrop County since the fires began in September of 2011. Immediately following the fires, we provided volunteer assistance to homeowners in need. Since then, we have been committed to the long term restoration of both Bastrop State Park and Bastrop County. We helped reopen Bastrop State Park by clearing hazardous trees and rebuilding trails. And we worked on a county-wide reseeding project that will save the soil, preventing further damage to the forest and waterways as well as Bastrop's roads and bridges.

We're honored to be included in such an important project as the recovery of Bastrop County.

Your gift is necessary to restore the economically important Bastrop State Park and ecologically unique Lost Pines forest. Some of our work has been made possible through grants and federal support. Partnerships with agencies such as the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Bastrop County Lost Pines Recovery Team have supported and sponsored our crews. But Bastrop still needs our help; there's a lot more work we can do. Your donation will enable our Texas Environmental Corps to provide significant assistance to a community in need.

The ecological restoration of Bastrop County is an important part of the overall recovery effort.  That's why we're asking for your support. Your donation, no matter the size, will help  Bastrop County become the iconic and environmentally valuable region it once was, and to make the State Park safe for users and wildlife alike.

Help make this important resource available and enjoyable for generations to come.

Thank you,
