Get Ready for Stage 2 Water Use Restrictions

One week from today, on August 24th, the city will be imposing stage two water use restrictions to combat the extreme drought we’re facing.

Irrigation systems will be limited to watering one morning per week depending on your address. Water will only be served upon request at restaurants, and you can forget about those charity car washes. Hand watering is okay any day of the week. Hopefully a rainy fall will give us some relief, but considering our climate, we should have watering restrictions in place no matter what. They’re great water guzzling lawn deterrents. Unfortunately golf courses, the greatest consumers of water, are exempt from these water restrictions.
