Austin Justice Coalitions Black Food Week is back for the 5th time this year. We’re excited to continue the tradition of two restaurant weeks and one week dedicated to food trucks. That’s three full weeks of good food, drinks, and community engagement. We will be hosting Eat – N – Greets at select restaurants and encourage you to become a patron to as many businesses as possible. Use the hashtag
#ATXBFW2021 and show us what you chowed down.
Black Food Week aims to provide the Austin community with information about Austin’s new and long-standing Black-owned restaurants that have become staples in the Black Austin community. Food is essential in our culture. It represents grandma’s hands, Sunday dinners that keep the family together, and the essence that puts the soul in a person. As an organization, we strive to create a place where the community can learn about the history of Black food and Black Austin while supporting the businesses that make this city feel like home.
