Come see how much fun it can be to spice up your menus while still keeping things light, fresh and healthy. Join Tye Lewis, owner of Tye Cooks Austin, in The Happy Kitchen to learn about the flavors and techniques of East Africa. Inspired by Tanzanian and Zanzibari cuisine, we’ll be using ingredients fresh from our SFC Teaching Garden and SFC Farmers’ Markets. Tye will demonstrate how to make popular East African foods and then you will get hands-on practice making a dish yourself! Even better, everyone will take home a spice blend, and we will even be joined by a sommelier who will pair the dishes with Texas wines.
We will sample what we cook, but it might not be a complete meal.
