An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day Third of the month, happening 12 times
Ever bothered by your favorite restaurant handing out plastic, when they could be using washable silverware or glassware instead? You’re not alone! Join us in our endeavor to Rescue Restaurants (and Austin’s environment!)
Newcomers will be onboarded to the project while veterans and newbies alike can socialize, get to know one another better, and discuss where to gather next for group ratings events.
THE INITIATIVE:
– Canvas Austin restaurants using an app called PlasticScore.
– Observe and rate how much single-use plastic is used in the meal —straws, cups, utensils, etc.
– Engage with management on moving to more sustainable options.
