We are hiring Early Voting Poll Workers and Seasonal Internal Election Workers for the November 3 Election. Attend the event to learn about available positions, interview on the spot, complete onboarding, and take the next step toward joining our election team.
Starting pay is $20 per hour (some positions pay more based on the role).
What to Bring
If you are offered a position, you will begin the onboarding process at the event. Please bring documentation needed to complete the federal Form I-9.
Commonly used document options include:
- A valid U.S. Passport; or
- A Texas Driver License (or other acceptable government-issued photo ID)
- and your Social Security card.

Job Opportunities
Early Voting Poll Workers
Help ensure a smooth voting experience by welcoming voters, checking them in, verifying eligibility, issuing access codes for voting equipment, and assisting voters with the voting process as needed. Early Voting Poll Workers serve at polling locations throughout the county during the Early Voting period.
Seasonal Internal Election Workers
Support the behind-the-scenes operations that make elections possible. Temporary positions may include:
- Ballot by Mail Clerks – Process mail ballot applications and ballots, perform data entry, and prepare election mail.
- Call Center Representatives – Assist voters and election workers by answering questions and directing calls.
- Voting Equipment Technicians – Prepare, test, deliver, and troubleshoot voting equipment at polling locations.
- Supply Preparation Workers – Assemble election supplies and deliver materials to polling locations.
- Trainers – Help train poll workers and support election operations.
- Box Truck Drivers – Transport voting equipment and supplies to and from polling locations (CDL not required).
Position Requirements
Early Voting Poll Workers
To serve as an Early Voting Poll Worker, you must:
- Be a registered voter in Travis County.
- Reside in Travis County.
- Be able to attend a training between October 5 and October 29.
- Be available during the entire early voting period: October 19 – October 30.
- Criminal background check required.
Seasonal Internal Election Workers
- Do not need to live in Travis County.
- Do not need to be registered to vote in Travis County.
- Criminal background check required.
- Be available from around mid-September through mid-November.
Please note: This hiring event is only for Early Voting Poll Workers and Seasonal Internal Election Workers. If you are interested in serving as an Election Day Poll Worker only, you do not need to attend this event. Please fill out an interest form online instead.
