Art of Reuse: Zentangle 101 – Learn the Basics to Decorate and Upcycle Just about Anything

The Zentangle(r) Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. If you can sign your name you can tangle! This workshop will teach you the basics of drawing four structured patterns. Take your new creative skills home to personalize, decorate, and upcycle just about anything with these and other tangles; create your own adult coloring pages, or use the Zentangle Method as a daily meditation practice to help reduce stress
In this workshop we’ll learn four structured patterns (“tangles”) and the eight steps to the Zentangle Method. Using ACR materials to apply watercolor on paper, we are going to create an abstract watercolor background for drawing tangles in different arrangements and combinations.Trust the process and it will result in a creative and unique work of art. Frame your artwork or glue it to card and send it to a friend.
Gina Woodruff is a Certified Zentangle Teacher and Creativity Coach. She works in different mediums including watercolor, acrylics, pen & ink, beadwork, and photography. She loves sharing the Zentangle Method art form and philosophy and seeing it bring increased focus, creativity, self-confidence and an increased sense of well-being in others.
