Body Rock ATX was established in 2010 as a monthly party to celebrate life, music, and freedom. Founded by Austin mainstays: DJ Chorizo Funk and Riders Against the Storm, Body Rock ATX, is a refuge for sweat, music, dance, and community.

    • DAWA (Diversity Awareness and Wellness in Action) is celebrating seven years of investing in Austin’s BIPOC frontliners with 4DAWA Fest on Saturday, September 19 at The ABGB, 5–11 pm. The lineup includes Smooth Nature, DAMOYEE, Eddie Angel, and Nicotine, with Body Rock ATX hosting.

    Since 2019, DAWA has distributed over $600,000 to more than 1,000 BIPOC community frontliners in Austin. This August’s DAWA Fund disbursement — $100,000 — was the largest single payout in the org’s history.
