01 Oct Announcing: Austin Interfaith Environmental Network

The Austin Interfaith Environmental Network is proud to announce its formal launch event, "Claiming Our Common Ground" Thursday, Nov. 5, 6:30 to 8:30pm. The Austin IEN is a place where people of different faiths in the Austin, Texas area will come together to claim the common call of environmental stewardship and strengthen our communities through shared service, learning, and influence on public policy.

Formed in early 2009 by an interim committee of clergy and lay members, the Austin IEN’s formal launch event (Nov. 5, 2009) will be an opportunity to meet other Austinites passionate about environmental stewardship, discover sharable action resources, and begin organizing a formal governing board for future growth. The Austin IEN is a grassroots effort fueled by the involvement of all who care for this good earth and whose concern is framed by their faith.
