We’re Kicking off Black History Month at the Carver with our first ever Solar Saturday!

Solar Saturdays are a new quarterly program at Carver Museum ATX that invites Austin residents and beyond to a free afternoon of programming for all. As a full-site activation, we will have happenings in the sunken garden, the Boyd Vance Theatre, the classroom, the dance studio, the plaza, and the drum – not to mention the gallery will be open! Vinyl records on long play will fill the halls, Black Maker’s Market will be poppin’, and food trucks will be pulling up, along with interactive genealogy arts and crafts programming to engage the brain. We’ll have tours throughout the day, and 2023 Black History Month with the Carver!
