In other election news… Tuesday was Election Day in America. In case you haven’t had the time to see how things went in Austin, here’s a quick recap:

Travis County Bonds
Prop A – $93,445,000 for roads, bike lanes, sidewalks, and drainage improvement projects at low water crossings.
What happened? Prop A passed with 73.22 percent of the vote.

Prop B – $91,445,000 for park projects and conservation easements.
What happened? Prop B passed with 73.17 percent of the vote.

On her Facebook page, Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt said, “We’re incredibly grateful that the voters of Travis County agreed that this prudent and well-crafted package of investments in safety, mobility and open space is worthy of public support.”

AISD Bond
$1.05 billion bond election to fund facility and technology upgrades for the school district.
What happened? AISD’s bond passed with 72.06 percent of the vote. 

Statewide, all seven state constitutional amendments on the ballot passed. A full list of those amendments and information about what they do is available on our voting guide>>

Although officials tallies have not yet been released, voter turnout in Travis County was about 13 percent.
