The City of Austin has a goal of achieving Zero Waste by 2040 (diverting 90 percent of the community’s waste from the landfill) and the Recycle and Reuse Drop-Off Center is one way to help achieve that.
The Household Hazardous Waste Facility and the Resource Recovery Center have merged into the Recycle & Reuse Drop-Off Center. The Recycle & Reuse Drop-Off Center is operated by the City of Austin. At the Recycle & Reuse Drop-Off Center, you can drop off many items to be recycled, reused, or safely discarded. You can also pick up free items to reuse yourself.
