What's Inside...

Partner Post – Earth Day ATX

Have a business idea that could change the world? Been waiting for an opportunity to turn that idea into an actual company?

Now’s your chance. The first-ever EcoPitch Challenge is taking place on Saturday, April 13th at the Earth Day ATX festival on the campus of Huston-Tillotson University.

The EcoPitch is designed for entrepreneurs launching early-stage sustainability-focused companies and is open to the public. Individuals or teams may apply, as well as college students and high school students (with an adult sponsor).

Applicants can submit their ideas now until April 10th. Finalists will be chosen to pitch their idea to the public and a panel of local judges. The winning idea will receive one free year of space at Relay Coworking (at the new Center for Social Innovation) and an invitation to join the 2019 cohort of the Tarmac TX Accelerator Program.

What’s the Tarmac TX Accelerator Program?

Tarmac TX is an acceleration program that fosters technology solutions addressing social and environmental issues. A partnership between the San Francisco-based nonprofit organization CALSO and 3M, Tarmac TX allows entrepreneurs to grow and amplify their impact by providing classes and workshops, mentorship, as well as networking opportunities.
