Grim tidings for WTP 4 opponents

(picture from the Austin American-Statesman)

It’s not over yet.  But the orchestra is warming up for the finale.

The Statesman reported Wednesday that Council Member Randi Shade, seen as the swing vote on Water Treatment Plant 4, has announced that she will vote to begin construction on the project.

The City Council votes this Thursday, October 22.

The Save Our Springs Alliance will be there, and they want you too:

Sign up at City Hall any time after 9:00AM tomorrow to speak to City Council agenda Item 13, which would approve $3.2 million more to continue preparation work for the proposed $1.2 BILLION Water Plant No. 4.  The item will not be heard before 4PM; it could be right at 4PM or not until 6PM or later.  Bring a book, food, etc and plan to stay as long as it takes. You can also follow our Twitter announcements for information.  You can listen to Council meetings on 88.7FM, watch on cable channel 6, or stream online  by clicking here.
