Green Jobs is the Topic for Shades of Green Energy Radio

The recent report on jobs looked much like a zero sum situation that has more than a few people concerned.  But that is not the case for green jobs according to the Solar Energy Industries Association, SEIA which reported in July that in the solar industry,  “Jobs are up, installations are way up for PV and CSP, manufacturing growth is up and prices are coming down.”  All these are indicators that point to a bright outlook for green jobs. Greentech Media reported that, “Rhone Resch, President of SEIA, said that the solar industry employs 100,000 Americans and that that number could double in the next two years.”

On Thursday on 91.7 FM KOOP radio at 1:00 p.m. Shades of Green Energy Radio hosts will interview Michael Kuhn, CEO and founder of ImagineSolar an Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), Institute for Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ) Accredited Continuing Education Provider which has trained and launched hundreds of individuals into solar careers and continues to train those seeking solar careers including apprentices, journeymen electricians, contractors and solar supported careers such as executive assistants, solar sales and other solar industry jobs.  ImagineSolar was the first licensed school in Texas dedicated to solar and smart grid engineering and technology.  With 4 ISPQ Certified Instructors and 2 ISPQ Master Trainers including Kuhn the school has more certified quality instructors and trainers than any other organization in Texas.  Their next class PV250 begins September 15 with information at ImagineSolar.com.
