Who We Are:

Waterloo Greenway is a 1.5-mile park system with the power to bring the entire Austin community together. The stars at night are big and bright… deep in the heart of Texas!

In this special nighttime session of Wild Wednesdays, we’re bringing out the telescopes for a star party! Join us for storytime under the stars, test your senses in the dark, and learn all about the local critters that only come out at night.

More info about Wild Wednesdays:

Enjoy a variety of science, nature, and STEM programs designed to connect kids (ages 5-14+) to the outside world around them!

Join us at Waterloo Park on Wednesdays for hands-on nature exploration, problem-solving exercises, outdoor activities, journaling, and other engaging activities!

Attendees will receive a free copy of The Ecologist School Pocket Guide: Waterloo Park Edition, created in collaboration with Families in Nature to educate our community about the park’s ecosystems, history, and Central Texas biodiversity. The booklet contains 64 hands-on lessons and activities across 16 different branches of sciences to help visitors learn, play, and volunteer throughout the park and in their own communities.
