The Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar will host a special screening of “The Unforeseen” on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 7 pm.
The Unforeseen is an absorbing documentary about development in the environmentally sensitive Barton Springs watershed in Austin, Texas. This beautifully crafted, 88-minute film takes a deep dive into the long-running battle between environmentalists, concerned citizens, and the City of Austin on one side, and developers, business interests, and state legislators on the other. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007.
Meet up with Save Our Springs Alliance staff for a pre-show drink or snack at The Highball (the bar right next to the theatre). Look for us from 5:30 pm to just before show time in our blue SOS t-shirts. The screening will be followed by a special Q&A with director Laura Dunn and SOS Executive Director Bill Bunch. Tickets will go fast! Purchase your tickets here: https://drafthouse.com/austin/show/the-unforeseen. All proceeds of this screening will benefit Save Our Springs Alliance.
