Texas Conference On Organic Production Systems

The Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association is hosting its annual conference, Texas Conference on Organic Production Systems, January 28th through 30th, 2011 in Killeen, Texas. This year’s theme is Texas Farms Direct and the conference will focus on bringing organic and sustainably-raised products from the farm to the marketplace.
Who Should Attend:
organic growers, organic ranchers, farmers, commercial plant growers, retailers, educators, wholesalers, processors, distributors, consumers, gardeners, and anyone desiring to support the organic industry in Texas.
The keynote speaker is the nationally known Ana Sofia Joanes, director and producer of the movie Fresh. Fresh celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who support our food system. In addition to Ms. Joanes’ Saturday keynote, we will screen Fresh on Friday night and follow this engaging film with a panel discussion of Texas organic farmers on the state of the local food movement in Texas.
