The Sustainable Honky Tonk Connection

November 24 @ 11:03 am

In order to address site sustainability and green development issues throughout the State of Texas, Local Plant Source, in partnership with the US Green Building Council, the Organic Horticulture Benefits Alliance and the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association, will be hosting The Sustainable Honky Tonk Connection at The Mill (Delta Millworks) on November 7, 2014.

REGISTER TO ATTEND.

Texas boasts four cities on the FORBES’ Fastest-Growing Cities List this year. As the Texas population continues to soar, so too does the pace of urbanization and development.

Together, as responsible stewards of our community, it's up to us to ensure the landscape, infrastructure, and buildings are designed with regard to the harmful impacts on scarce resources, ecological systems, and the quality of life in the community. As individuals, we all play a critical role in addressing these important challenges so as to not jeopardize the needs of future generations.

The Sustainable Honky Tonk Connection will be celebrating sustainable site development with live music provided by FingerPistol, delicious libations from Lagunitas and Deep Eddy Vodka and hearty snacks served by Tailgate Bistro. Further, this event will mark the official launch of the Texas Green Building Marketplace, powered by the Texas chapters of the US Green Building Council.

Ultimately, connecting environmentally minded professionals, green businesses and community leaders from the Great State of Texas, this event aims to promote the green business sector in Texas and seeks to accelerate the conversation around sustainable practices in Texas land development.
