“Shades of Green” Environmental Talk Radio, KOOP 91.7 FM Featuring Environmental Activists from Ukraine

Join program co-hosts Reed Sternberg, John Hoffner, and Stacy Guidry as they interview a delegation of environmental activists from Southern Ukraine.

Recently, Shades of Green hosted a visit with environmentalists from Khazakstan. In part 2 of this series we meet with delegates from Ukraine to find out what some of our counterparts across the globe are doing to address local and regional sustainability and pollution issues.

Our special guests are: Svitlana Hora, from the town of Kherson, has worked in the Kherson City civic organization “Center Shakti” since 2006, where she organizes various activities including coordination with charities and youth organizations. Iryna Starova, from the city of Zaporizhzhya, is the Vice Principle of a school there, as well as Director of a youth organization there called “Respublika Mariya,” where she works with youth, grades 5-11 on environmental projects.
