The seed to plate concept offers a unique learning experience, and by engaging kids in the garden and kitchen with growing, harvesting and preparing foods, it empowers them to make healthy living and eating choices. We will begin the morning exploring a warm-season garden, helping with garden tasks and harvesting flowers and vegetables for cooking. In the SFC kitchen, we will show ways to use seasonal produce with hands-on prep and cooking sections. Everyone will taste the fresh, healthy dishes and take home the recipes. Ages 8 and older please.
This is a family-friendly class for children ages 8 and older. Attendees may purchase an additional ticket for $10 for a child if they wish.
