WHY? The intersecting issues that impact Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities in Austin require constant vigilance and engagement for effective change. At AJC, we believe that building capacity and anti-racist leadership in combination with skills training and direct experience with groups of dedicated advocates will hasten our impact and materially improve the lives of BIPOC communities in Austin – a central part of our mission. We know that what we do and how we do it is unique. That’s why, we’ve developed the RAA program, and we’re eager to get co-conspiring with you!
We’ve learned what works and what doesn’t, and while we don’t always have the capacity to fight every fight, we believe that sharing our knowledge and experience with the intention of hastening our impact will increase the power of our community. The more leaders WE have, the harder THEY fall.
