Press Conference–30 Day Countdown to Austin’s Bag Ban

Please join the Austin Zero Waste Alliance, Texas Campaign for the Environment, the Interfaith Environmental Network and others as the groups hold a press conference to highlight the 30-day countdown to the upcoming Single-Use Bag Ordinance starting on March 1, 2013. This ordinance, unanimously passed by Austin City Council on March 1, 2012, will affect both paper and plastic check out bags at the registers of grocery and retail stores within the city limits.

Supporters of the Single-Use Bag Ordinance are invited to attend.
