Monthly Meeting for Austin Zero Waste Alliance (AZWA)

December 23 @ 7:23 am

Join us this Wednesday, October 29, at the monthly meeting of the Austin Zero Waste Alliance (AZWA)!

We’ll be recapping our amazing victory in vindicating Daniela Ochoa Gonzalez from the city's allegations that she had a conflict of interest while serving on the Zero Waste Advisory Commission and talking about upcoming work to ensure that Austin’s Construction and Demolition debris ordinance reflects our community’s values. We’ll also strongly focus on developing a strategy for securing better rules for Austin’s Universal Recycling Ordinance. It has become too difficult to enforce Austin’s recycling rules; we want to make it easier and we need your insight and experience to help us develop a strategy for building our power and securing these improvements to Austin’s Zero Waste policies.

WHAT: Monthly Meeting of AZWA

WHEN: Wednesday, October 29, 7 PM

WHERE: Terrazas Branch, Austin Public Library 1105 E. Cesar Chavez

WHY: Celebrate and Strategize!

Everyone has a lot to offer as we brainstorm creative new ways to press our elected officials towards policies which make sense for our city. We want to encourage new and robust participation, so whether you make it every month, you haven’t been by in a while or you’ve been meaning to come forever but just haven’t lately, we would love to see you there on Wednesday!

You can follow us on Facebook & Twitter for the most up to date happenings.

Please contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you all there!
