MLK Jr Day of Service Creek Clean-Up

Join Austin Youth River Watch for our MLK Jr Day of Service event to help clean and restore Buttermilk Creek in Buttermilk Park on Monday, January 19th from 10am to 12:30pm!
On Monday, January 19th, 2026, millions will come together to volunteer and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, who never stopped asking the question, “What are you doing for others?” The MLK Jr Day of Service is a moment to work together to fulfill King’s vision for a better America – it’s a day “on” instead of a day off.
We look forward to seeing you all for a fun and fulfilling MLK Jr Day of Service! You can sign up to volunteer here.
Volunteer activities will include: removing trash from the Buttermilk Park Greenbelt and creek area, spreading native plant seed balls, and learning about water quality. (All tools and supplies will be provided.)
