Grout & About: An Austin Mosaic Ride
March 14 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
*Please note – because of the weather, this event was rescheduled from March 7th to March 14th*
A one-of-a-kind bike ride through Austin’s most colorful corners—a guided tour celebrating the city’s vibrant mosaic art scene.
We’ll fuel up with tacos and coffee in the courtyard of Eastside Pedal Pushers before we cruise at an easy, social pace, stopping along the way to explore dazzling public mosaics tucked into parks, neighborhoods, and unexpected places. Think shimmering tiles, hidden gems, and the stories behind the artists who helped shape Austin’s creative soul.
But this isn’t just a look-don’t-touch kind of ride.
We’ll wrap up the tour with an option to get hands-on at The Mosaic Workshop, where you’ll get to channel all that inspiration into your own original piece. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little creative. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a finished mosaic that’s uniquely yours.
What to expect:
- Breakfast tacos and coffee courtesy of Ghisallo Cycling Initiative
- A relaxed, guided bike ride through Austin
- Stops at iconic and lesser-known mosaic artworks
- Art history, local stories, and plenty of photo ops
- A beginner-friendly mosaic workshop to end the day (optional $20 add on)
Whether you’re an art lover, a casual cyclist, or just looking for a fun way to experience Austin differently, this ride is for you. Come solo or bring a friend—either way, you’ll roll away inspired (and maybe a little sparkly).
