Join us for our Fall Kickoff at Huston-Tillotson University! Learn how to get involved with us this midterms election season!

Registration is required to attend.

Agenda

6:00pm – Doors open and attendees can choose their own adventure for the first hour.

  • Learn about the League of Women Voters Austin Area at our New Member Orientation in the Agard Lovinggood Lecture Hall

  • Network with attendees over snacks and drinks at the Davage-Durden Student Union

  • Discover ways to volunteer and help Make Democracy Work at our volunteer fair in the Davage-Durden Student Union

7:00pm – Join us in the Agard Lovinggood Lecture Hall

  • Emily Eby, Senior Election Protection Attorney and Policy Counsel for the Texas Civil Rights Project, will show how we can help all voters overcome voter suppression and become empowered through knowledge and action.

  • LWV-AA Board will share with attendees the League’s program of Making Democracy Work for the next year.

Hybrid Event: The speaking portion of this event will be available virtually through Zoom.
