Join Black History Bike Ride on Thursday, June 19th, 2025 for our biggest celebration yet!

Meet at 10am at the African American History Memorial (11th & Congress) for an all abilities guided bike ride with hundreds of cyclists touring sites of historical significance to Austin’s Black communities. Bring your own bike, helmet, and a full water bottle.

What’s New & Exciting This Year:

  • Juneteenth Block Party sponsored by Austin Parks Foundation! Thanks to the Austin Parks Foundation support, we will be hosting a delicious lunch by local culinary legend Amanda Turner and refreshments after our ride near Rosewood Park.
  • Celebrate Juneteenth at the Austin Juneteenth Festival happening at the park that day from 12pm-9pm
  • Austin PBS Documentary Premiere! We’re celebrating the Austin PBS launch of “The Route to Emancipation” – our documentary chronicling the 350-mile journey from Austin to Galveston (the birthplace of Juneteenth!). Our documentary will screen on Austin PBS at 8pm on June 19th!
  • Special Documentary Screening – Join us in the evening after the ride for a special screening party to celebrate the PBS premiere (screening location announced soon)

RSVP: Please consider donating to our 501-c3 non profit when you RSVP to support our efforts to educate our community through cycling and storytelling. If you are not planning to ride, you are welcome to donate and join us for the block party afterward!

This year marks a special milestone as we continue to educate, celebrate, and build community through cycling and storytelling. Don’t miss being part of this historic event!
