Saturday, June 10th at 10 am – Michael Warriner, a biologist with USFW teaches us all about “Bumblebees of Texas.”
What do you know about bumblebees? One of the most recognizable and well-liked of all the insects we encounter in our yards, we probably don’t know a lot about these “flying balls of fur.” What value do they have in our garden and in our ecosystem? How can we enhance our yard to support these pollinators? Michael Warriner will answer these questions and more, and will provide a little show and tell, too. If you grow (or like to eat) cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins, or watermelons, and you have an interest in the connections that keep our living world healthy and sustainable, you won’t want to miss this talk.
