Fast Friends: Make Connections at Light-Rail Speed!

Looking to meet new people and make fast friends? Join us at Plaza Saltillo for a fun, FREE event where you can connect with others! Whether you’re new in town, looking to expand your social circle or just curious about using the train, this is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded individuals. Don’t miss out on the chance to create lasting friendships in a casual and welcoming environment.
In partnership with Get There ATX, CapMetro and Hidden Gems Dating, Ghisallo Cycling Initiative wants to take YOU on a unique adventure to explore our city via public transit. Utilizing public transit as both venue and mode of transportation, participants will be expertly guided to meet new people and make new connections (pun definitely intended).
We’ll utilize CapMetro’s RedLine to take the train north from Plaza Saltillo to Kramer Station, ultimately destined for the Domain. Hidden Gems Dating, expert social facilitators, will lead 3 rounds of ‘Speed Friending’ during our transit adventure. Upon arrival to the Domain, participants will have the opportunity to further explore new friendship connections at Punchbowl Social.

It’s FREE! The ticket price is just a deposit to hold your spot, and will be refunded with your attendance on event day.
Choose your own adventure at Punchbowl Social and then self-guide back to Plaza Saltillo. Your CapMetro Rail pass will be valid all day. Stay and hang as long as you like, grab lunch in the area and when you’re ready to head home, CapMetro’s got your back!
Itinerary:
10:15 am – Meet up at Plaza Saltillo. Parking is available. Bonus points if you ride your bike!
1030 am – Round 1 speed friending
11am – NB train arrives, get on!
25 minute ride to Kramer station + Round 2 speed friending
11:27am Arrive @ Kramer Station
11:35 – 20 min walk to Punchbowl Social at Domain + 3rd round speed friending
12 pm – Arrive at Punchbowl Social. Arcade games + Darts courtesy of Ghisallo Cycling Initiative.
