The Copperfield Connector Trail was constructed in partnership with the City of Austin’s Urban Trails, Safe Routes to School, and Sidewalks and Special Projects Program, in coordination with Pflugerville ISD. The concrete trail connects Thompkins Drive to Shropshire Lane, creating a shorter, safer, and more accessible route for students to walk or bike to Copperfield Elementary. The project also included the construction of new sidewalks, installation of curb ramps, and new pedestrian crossing islands. Funding came from Austin Mobility Bonds and District 1 quarter-cent funding.
