This year, the Bike Austin Annual Membership Meeting is not just the culmination of the Annual Board Election, but also features our first Annual Bike Austin Awards and three distinguished speakers on “Accessibility for All Ages and Abilities: Opportunities for Austin”. We will also be serving dinner, beer, and wine, in appreciation of our membership.

5:15pm Discussion on Special Online Ballot Item from Board: Membership is asked to consider approval of a declaration under consideration by the Bike Austin board and Austin Cycling Association board that formally declares their intention to move forward to create a more unified and merged cycling organization to best serve the Austin cycling community, using a professionally facilitated process. A special online ballot will be sent to Bike Austin members after the meeting. (Updated 10/21/13)
5:45pm Bike Austin Board Candidate Introductions and Questions: We will introduce our candidates in the Bike Austin Board Election and welcome questions from the audience. Voting-eligible members were sent candidate statements and ballots on Oct. 18th. You can find more information about the Board Election on our website.
6:30pm Dinner begins
6:45pm Balloting closes in Board Election: Results will be announced later in the evening.
7:00pm Bike Austin Annual Awards: Six Austinites will be presented with awards in our first annual ceremony. All recipients are expecting to be present.
