Please join the Austin Zero Waste Alliance (AZWA) for its May meeting.
We will welcome special guest speaker, Alden Larrick, Executive Director of Ecology Action, to discuss its collaboration with the City of Austin in developing the Austin Materials Marketplace (AMM). The AMM program "brings together businesses of all sizes and entrepreneurs in the City of Austin and Travis County to create closed-loop systems in which one company's waste is another company's raw material."
Keeping materials local is one of the best ways we can cut transportation costs, cut emissions, and support our local tax base and businesses.
After our speaker, we will have a policy discussion about Austin's proposed compost program roll-out & the new report just released showing Austin's economic potential for Zero Waste.
