Wednesday is our monthly Austin Zero Waste Alliance (AZWA) meeting and the last meeting we’ll have before Earth Day. For this month we will be meeting at a different location than our normal one. Scheduling conflicts with the Terrazas Branch of the Austin Public Library mean that we will be meeting instead at the Willie Mae Kirk Branch (formerly the Oak Springs Branch) of the Library, 3101 Oak Springs Dr. in East Austin. Please make sure to adjust your plans!
WHAT: Monthly Meeting of the Austin Zero Waste Alliance
WHEN: Wednesday, March 26, 7 PM
WHERE: Willie Mae Kirk Branch, Austin Public Library (3101 Oak Springs Dr, Austin, TX 78702)
WHY: Build a Zero Waste future for Austin!
Since our last meeting we’ve had a successful political demonstration spotlighting the city’s lax enforcement of the Universal Recycling Ordinance, engaged on the rulemaking for the next phase of the Ordinance and continued our work advocating for a ban on Styrofoam and a solution for food truck recycling. We will be working again on all of this and making plans for Earth Day as well. Come on out and join us!
Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
