Alternative First Response Town Hall

The Austin Justice Coalition, in collaboration with folks from the unions for EMS and Integral Care, will be holding a town hall on alternative 1st response systems this Thursday, July 11th at 6pm at the Cherrywood Community Center (1605 E 38th 1/2 St, Austin, TX 78722).
Please register and attend to learn more about the burgeoning movement for alternative 1st response here and around the country, and to provide feedback on how our alternative 1st response system can improve and grow to ensure everyone gets the best and quickest response possible to crises with a focus on care and not coercion and violence.
In addition to Integral Care and EMS folks currently working on this locally, reps from the national Movement 4 Black Lives and Dream Defenders Healing and Justice Center are set to speak as well to tell us about the wide variety of ways that communities are building out alternatives.
