The Community Police Review Commission (CPRC) would like to invite you to a public Town Hall focusing on the national “
8 Can’t Wait” campaign on
Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 6–8:00 p.m. The 8 Can’t Wait campaign is part of a national movement to reduce police brutality.
The Office of Police Oversight recently launched the “Reimagining Community Safety Policies” effort to re-write the APD policies with recommendations grounded in community understanding. OPO used the 8 Can’t Wait recommendations as a starting point to recommend changes to APD policies.
We will hear from:
- Campaign Zero representative (founders of “8 Can’t Wait”)
- Office of Police Oversight
- Community Members (You!)
- 60 minute facilitated discussion on each policy to collect your opinions
