About this Event:

Join us for the next Imagine Austin Speaker Series featuring Dr. Garry Cooper. In his talk, Garry will discuss the role of the circular economy in combating inequality and environmental injustice. He will also elaborate on the need for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) voices in this sector and how communities and governments can better support BIPOC circular entrepreneurship.

This event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CST on April 21, 2021. To register for this free virtual event, click here.

What is the Circular Economy?

A circular economy is an economic system where waste is designed out, and products are kept circulating in productive use at their highest value for as long as possible. Want to learn more before the event? Check out this resource, and the City of Austin’s Circular Economy Program.
