A. Show Your Sources
I’ve found it most effective to begin any presentation of this type by discussing info sources, first. A lot of environmental people such as myself speak more from a place of passion than deep research. In my opinion, this is the key thing enviros can improve on if we want to build bridges beyond the green choir. The ideas that make up this presentation re: ‘Global Climate Disruption’ come from sources like: The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, The National Academy of Sciences, The Texas State Dept. of Health, and The National Council of Churches.

B. Review Headline Facts
     > In 2007, the IPCC1 said:

  • Warming unequivocal, when compared to the historical record.
  • Warming attritutable to "human causes."
  • World temperatures could rise as much as 11F, next 90 years.
  • A 5F rise would destroy 40 to 70% of all known biology assessed at that time.
     

 

> According to global measurements, there’s significantly more CO2 appearing in today’s glacial ice cores than at any other time, globally, on scientific record.
