31 May The Biggest Event in Solar is Coming to Austin NEXT WEEK!

Based upon your prior interest in Solar Energy – including attendance at SEEN / CLEEN events, I wanted to remind you of some very exciting Austin Solar news.
 
The world’s oldest and most prestigious gathering of Solar Photovoltaic Professionals – The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Photovoltaics Specialist Conference (IEEE-PVSC) will be coming to Austin next week starting Sunday June 3rd. This event will bring worldwide attention to the energy that Austin brings to solar. The event is chaired by Austin’s own pre-eminent solar pioneer Dr. B.J. Stanbery, founder of HelioVolt.
 
There are multiple ways to participate;
 
1)      You are invited to be a part of IEEE-PVSC Austin Solar Day on June 3rd 2012, an event to heighten the public’s awareness of photovoltaics. This event is planned for the opening day of the 38th IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference being held at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. 2)      The PVSC is the preeminent photovoltaic technical conference in the world. Technical programs, tutorials and workshops are presented Sunday June 3rd through Friday June 8th. More information is available here: http://www.ieee-pvsc.org/PVSC38/
 
3)      The 2012 Golf Classic focuses on Solar Energy for Bright Minds. For the first time, the winner of the annual PVSC High School Photovoltaic Design Competition will receive a PV system installed at their school by a local solar power provider at no cost.
