26 Feb Austin Water Applauds Excellence in Waste Water Pretreatment Customers

Austin Water announced its 2014 excellence awards for 23 commercial and industrial water customers. The effort commends outstanding water protection efforts through excellent pretreatment of waste water. Area businesses are required to install, operate and adequately maintain pretreatment devices and systems to remove pollutants that could harm the wastewater collection system. These systems remove pollutants like heavy metals, cyanides, toxic organics and industrial process operation wastes. Please note these commercial and industrial businesses taking responsibility for their waste stream before it enters our system.
