Clean Weavers, Zero Waste Public Task Force – 1st Meeting

November 25 @ 7:52 am

“Bringing the economics to Art”

In the first Austin Clean Weavers meeting, we will discuss Austin’s Zero Waste plan, and how the local business and arts communities can collaborate to maximize local jobs and opportunities

At this meetup we will design a collaborative ecosystem that mimics nature in order to reuse the waste stream locally. Currently the government, waste companies, and non-profits (lobbyists) are the only ones having this important and relevant conversation. Anyone that has an interest in sustainability, the green movement, or recycling should really consider joining our network. This is greener than green, it’s zero waste!

Typically when a city goes zero waste, a private task force is formed (which has happened), but a public task force is also needed as a best practice to make sure the resources are used responsibly. This is a paradigm shift and if you have a business you are needed!

This is a very important conversation not only for business owners, but also artists. We are generally the first adopters of important social and technological movements and we are the people who can help local business by giving the creative answers the city so desperately needs. This is how we will build our country back, and currently the local business community is not properly represented.

This event is powered by Adbongo Inc, the worlds for-benefit corporation specializing in clean economic development and zero waste business acceleration. Food is Free will also be participating.
