Obama’s Climate /Clean Energy Bill Phonebank w/ Sierra Club!

I’m sure you all know that Obama’s really critical & timely climate legislation is on the line, and this month we’re expecting something to come out of committee–this bill could create millions of new, green jobs and transition our economy to be powered by clean, renewable energy that can’t be outsourced. We also know that the opposition will be out in full force, so we have to show our grassroots power!

Can you join us Wed, 9/09 from 6-8 at the Austin Sierra Club office, 1202 San Antonio?

We have some really neat new technology that will actually allow us to call Sierra Club members in swing states, and we can patch them through to their Senators office to leave a message about the importance of this climate bill!! We’re calling other states b/c even though our Senators most likely won’t vote “yes,” the outcome of this legislation will have a major impact in Texas.

We want to make hundreds of calls from Texas this month, so we have to start the calling off with a bang! Can you join us tomorrow (Wed) at 6pm?
