03 Jul Victory Gardens?

In 2008, Brandi & I conspired to make her Citizen Foodie talk a core element of the Green 4th of July celebration we shared at The Austin Farmers Market (www.austinfarmersmarket.org/).

Brandi subsequently collaborated with Marla Camp (www.edibleaustin.com), Dick Pierce (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMdDjRfthok), and a number of other local leaders to create Citizen Gardener (http://citizengardener.ning.com/).

All of this was in large part inspired by the Victory Garden movement of WWII.
