In “Tackling Bias,” we’ll begin by examining the perspectives and preconceptions each of us brings to the way we evaluate news. Our individual backgrounds and life experiences can subtly or overtly shape the way we interpret and analyze the information we consume from various news sources.
Next, we’ll assess the perceived biases of a wide range of news organizations. This includes considering who provides these evaluations and the potential influences behind their assessments.
Then we’ll explore how news sources choose headlines, story wording, and even photos that seek to influence our judgements.
And lastly, we’ll finish by opening things up for your thoughts, and experiences, on how you “Tackle Bias” in your news.
