Issues & Eggs: Waterloo Greenway – Austin’s Urban Connector
March 31 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am
Join us as we explore how Waterloo connects Austin’s growing districts, shaping downtown’s health, culture, tourism, and livability.
We will explore how this transformative public space is connecting Austin’s emerging districts—from the Medical District and Convention Center to Rainey Street and the Red River Cultural District. As downtown’s eastern side develops, Waterloo is becoming the central spine that ties together health, culture, tourism, and livability in downtown.
Hear from urban designers, planners, and community leaders as they share how this public investment is influencing design, density, and purpose across these neighborhoods. From walkability and wellness to cultural identity and economic development, this conversation will highlight how public green space can shape the future of Austin—district by district.
