Who We Are:

We opened in 2008, in the heart of downtown Austin, just steps from the Convention Center, the Congress Ave. Bridge (famous for its dusk bat watching), and a short walk from the state capitol. We regularly host store events and support local environmental work, including efforts to stop the Trans Pecos pipeline project in southwest Texas.

Before we retire our beloved fleece with the campfire burn or the sweater that got snagged on a tree branch, we can all give fixing our own sh*t a try.

This Black Friday we’re partnering with Austin Creative Reuse to share some tips and tricks for making the garments you love, last. Whether it’s broken snaps, holes, snags or stains- bring in any garments that need some special attention and we’ll help get you started on making repairs by hand. Let’s share the joy of fixing the stuff you already own.

Key details:

Friday 2-6pm: staff and volunteers from Austin Creative Reuse join us in store to provide creative inspiration and support in making garment repairs by hand

Saturday morning 10-noon Creature Coffee will be in store with their mobile coffee cart crafting free espresso beverages while in-house creatives on our team provide repairs support

Light refreshments and general supplies provided- fun fabrics for patches are welcome

All weekend events are FREE.
