Decorative Mending with Embroidery

In this workshop we’ll learn some fun embroidery techniques for repairing small holes or stains as well as some hand and machine sewing methods for mending or covering larger ones. This is a way to both personalize your clothes and increase their lifespan. We’ll go over interfacing, fabric backing, edge sewing, and embroidery stitches you can use to decorate the mend.
Bring your own clothes to mend! All other supplies will be provided.
This is an indoor workshop, masks are required.
About the Instructor:
Madeline Meehan (crafting alias Snarkily Adorable) is an obsessive accruer of hobbies who has dabbled in everything from knitting to welding. She has been teaching embroidery classes in Austin for the last 6 years. Find more of her work on IG @snarkilyadorable
