Join artist and educator Allison Lash as we explore a variety of materials.
We will cover basic elements of art and design while carefully selecting and arranging textures, colors, patterns, shapes, texts and images to construct interesting collages and assemblages.

About the Artist:
Allison Lash is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, photographer, mother and owner of Awesome Art!. She’s a lifelong learner passionate about sharing her love for exploring art materials and techniques. She aspires to teach others about cultural traditions through artmaking.
Her BFA is from The University at Buffalo, NY; MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, NJ; and her visual arts teaching certification through an invitational, accelerated program at Studio in a School with the Pratt Institute, NYC. Studio in a School’s philosophy includes teaching artists modeling the artist’s way of thinking and working inspired by the pedagogy of Reggio Emilia. Thinking like an artist includes careful observation, critical thinking and thinking outside of the box.
Austin Independent School District, The City of Austin, Austin Public Library and other local organizations are a few of the orginaxzations Allison partners with. She provides artmaking workshops and experiences for people of all ages.
